Rage Against The Machine, Rush, Primus & KISS Tributes | Live at The Cobalt

A full night of tribute classics featuring Rage Against the Machine, Rush, Primus, and KISS inspired live sets at The Cobalt.

Four tribute acts take over The Cobalt for a stacked night celebrating some of rock’s most iconic catalogs.

Calm Like A Bomb delivers a tribute to Rage Against the Machine, bringing the intensity, riffs, and political edge of one of alternative music’s most explosive bands.

Anthem makes its Vancouver debut with a full set dedicated to the music of Rush, honoring the technical precision and songwriting that defined a Canadian institution.

Big Brown Beaver rounds out the amplified tribute sets with a celebration of Primus, channeling the offbeat grooves, strange energy, and unmistakable low end that made the band legendary.

Mr. Stanley Acoustic opens the night, with "Paul Stanley" singing the best of KISS.

A full night built for fans of heavy riffs, technical musicianship, and classic alternative rock performed live.

Béton Armé

Béton Armé is a punk/oi! band founded in 2018. Having become a fixture on the global punk scene, the band stands out for its original music, with driving rhythms and haunting choruses, as well as its universally celebrated live performances. Since the band's formation, Béton Armé has produced a self-titled demo on the LSC records label in 2018, a debut EP entitled "Au bord du gouffre" on Primator Crew (France) in 2020, a split 45 with Buffalo band Violent Way, jointly produced by Primator Crew records and Contra Records (Germany) in 2021, and an EP entitled Second souffle released by Primator Crew (France) and Roachleg Records (New York, USA).

The band's numerous live performances have attracted the attention of the punk sphere around the world. In addition to performances in Quebec and Ontario, the band played a series of concerts in Detroit, Milwaukee and Chicago in fall 2019. They also hit the stage on the U.S. West Coast in the summer of 2021, when they took part in the Lie Detector festival in Los Angeles and performed in two other concerts in Long Beach, California. During the same summer, they also went to Vancouver to play at the Have a Good Laugh festival. They also played a number of concerts in New York (4), Philadelphia (5) and other cities in the northeastern U.S., including Buffalo, Boston and Pittsburgh, during a tour with French band Squelette in summer 2022.

More recently, the band toured Europe on a 14-show European tour. This series of concerts took them to several cities in France, Belgium, England and Germany. Highlights of the tour included performances at the latest edition of Static Shock Weekend, in London (England), and Bal des Vauriens, in Vitry-sur-Seine (France).

The band also participated in a 10-show tour the US West Coast in March 2024, playing in front live audiences from Los Angeles to Seattle. They are planning a trip to Spain in August 2024 for the Beach, Beer and Chaos festival in the Barcelona suburb of Badalona. In September, the band will embark on its biggest tour to date, opening for Soft Kill. The 14-concert tour will take them to the following cities: Portland, Reno, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Omaha, Kansas City, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Brooklyn.

LEAETHER STRIP // TORTURE GALLERY // SKULL CULTIST // LANDSCAPE BODY MACHINE

The Invisible Orange presents: LEÆTHER STRIP with guests: TORTURE GALLERY, SKULL CULTIST and LANDSCAPE BODY MACHINE.
DJ PANDEMONIUM
(Restricted Entertainment) on the decks.

LEÆTHER STRIPLEÆTHER STRIP is the solo-project of the legendary Danish electronic musician Claus Larsen. First signed by the German Electro Label Zoth Ommog in 1989, this industrial act quickly built a buzz as one of the most exciting emerging acts in Europe in the early 90's. While being a big inspiration to many of today’s younger acts in the subculture, Leæther Strip is still one of the most prolific producers and active international live acts. Claus is known for very uptempo energetic sets including classic hits like "Strap Me Down", "Don’t Tame Your Soul" and unique covers of Depeche Mode, Judas Priest, Soft Cell, Front 242, Ministry, Talk Talk, Lords of Acid, Yazoo, and many classic 80’s synthpop artists.

After the success of the "Back To Industry" in 2021, LEÆTHER STRIP is back March 1st with Last Station an all new full release album of original material dedicated to John Rasmussen and released in Kurt’s (Claus’ late husband) memory.

Digital and Limited CD are now available for PreOrder .

SKULL CULTIST
SKULL CULTIST is from lovely Victoria, BC. Bringing you hard beats, crushing synths, blazing guitar, and even a thrice-blessed/blooded chainsword, Skull Cultist seeks to strike a compact with the dark gods through pummeling EBM-Industrial rituals. Skull Cultist takes no prisoners, except for those reserved for the razor-racks. Also, they're pretty fun! You know, like razor-racks. Come and see Skull Cultist and be the hammer with them. Just remember to hydrate!

LANDSCAPE BODY MACHINE
Landscape Body Machine is a Vancouver electronic band with a hybrid sound of equal parts ambient, dance, industrial & techno. Politically and socially minded work, LBM is noted for their energetic and passionate live performances, which are an exception rather than the norm for most electronic-based artists. Where most of the action usually takes place hidden away from sight in front of banks of computers and synthesizers, Huxtable steps out and presents both the man and the machine behind the music.

WITCH RIPPER // WORSE // WITCHY SISTER

The Invisible Orange presents: WITCH RIPPER with guests: WORSE and WITCHY SISTER

WITCH RIPPER
On their third full-length, "Through the Hourglass", WITCH RIPPER unleash the full potential of their stunning ability to deliver captivating melodies, catchy riffs, and merciless hooks in sheer droves. The US metal band perfectly combines melodic heaviness with pinches of progressive, sludge, and other styles with seeming ease. WITCH RIPPER can be generally located within the wider sonic realm that is inhabited by MASTODON, BARONESS, and HIGH ON FIRE, yet they also continue to channel the rock bombast of QUEEN and DAVID BOWIE as well as the modern prog of COHEED AND CAMBRIA and MUSE. WITCH RIPPER are also determined to tour across the United States and hope for a first voyage to Europe in support of "Through the Hourglass". Metal is anything but dead, and this album is living proof of its vibrant present.

WORSE
Featuring Shane Clark and Matt Wood, former members of Canadian rock royalty Pride Tiger and 3 Inches of Blood, Worse is bound to be your next heavy-as-hell obsession. There are flecks of various metal subgenres here and there, but the band’s true strength is the ability to blister with just relentless riffs, hammering drums and raw howls.
