QUOTES
“MØAA takes you on a journey with “Jaywalker”, a journey into the mind of an artist making music on their own terms. 2023 is the year of MØAA and I will die on this hill.” – 102.9FM The Buzz
“The title track, “Jaywalker,” includes lines like “always under weather in that old dirty sweater that never fitted me.” Yet it’s a danceable dark wave tune that makes you feel alright wearing that old dirty sweater over and over again. It still feels like home, even if it never quite fit.” – Seattle Met Magazine
“Jaywalker is a dreamy gloom pop masterpiece for shoegazers tired of staring at the same floor. Pick your eyes up for once. Huff that cigarette smoke even though no one smokes anymore and get ugly.” – Deaf Sparrow
“The soundscapes Jancy constructs are alluringly atmospheric and subtly beautiful. She combines an undeniable gift for melody with thick dream pop aesthetics as she conjures darkly charming newfound textures.” – Under the Radar Magazine
“The zoned-out guitars, prominent bassline, and uncanny-valley static drum beat place the single firmly within the darkwave canon, while Rae’s tired, breathy vocals feel more in line with dream pop conventions.” – FLOOD Magazine
“Seattle’s MØAA takes you on a trek through this dark night of the soul. In this lush number, the whispering vocals drift over dreamy pop hooks, an eerie synth-scape, and driving beat.” – Post-Punk Magazine
“They lure the listener in with an eerie invitation to return to where you’ve buried all your darkest emotions.” – CVLT Nation
“Jancy Rae has recently introduced her dreampop project MØAA with the notable debut single, Exist, now followed with another track and video which further exhibit the rising act’s artistic vision for an alluring, gazey, psychedelic-bent sound and all-embracing tasteful aesthetics.”
